Environmental Education Centre

This scheme in partnership with Lancashire CC provides an educational interpretation facility for children visiting the new waste recycling and compost processing centre.

As an educational building it embodies sustainability within its fabric and systems. The design includes wind turbines, ground source heating, and photovoltaic panels. All of these renewable sources are installed in such a way as to provide accessible teaching aids and to be upgraded over time.

This project was completed to an BREEAM 'Very Good' Rating.
