The works included the reconstruction of a road bridge spanning the River Cocker in the village of Low Lorton.

The original stone masonry arch bridge collapsed in the floods of November 2009 leaving only the abutments standing.

The bridge is a single span structure including a steeel girder/reinforced concrete slab construction with stone clad parapets and abutments.
