The Eric Wright Group is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility; we aim to understand how our business impacts on the wider world and aspire to go beyond the minimum requirements taking a responsible attitude.
The shareholding in the Eric Wright Group is presently owned 100% by the Eric Wright Trust, a charitable body.
The principles behind the Charitable Trust are woven into our overall approach to business. Through the reinvestment of time, money and resources we support the wider regeneration of our local communities.
The Eric Wright Group recognises the social and environmental implication of its activities and believes in conducting its business in a responsible manner.
The Group has remained a private company and this has enabled us to adopt a long term strategy with regard to its growth as a company, but also to implement its belief that there is more involved in the operation of a company than simply the creation of wealth for the few. The philosophy of developing long term relationships both within the Group amongst its employees and with the external environment, amongst its clients and stakeholders, ultimately leads to a more rounded approach to business and its effect on the community and the individuals associated with it.
Support for Charities
Many charitable / community events are also supported by the Company Charitable Trust and matched funding is awarded for activities outside of the workplace in which our employees take part.
We support local charities such as Derian House and the St Catherine’s Hospice in a variety of ways such as raffles, coffee mornings, sponsored bike rides and sponsoring the annual Symphony at the Tower held at Houghton Tower in Preston. In 2012 we sponsored the Preston Guild and have sponsored the annual event Pendal Pedal for over eight years. In 2012, the event was headed by Bradley Wiggins (Ride with Brad).

Speaking of Mr Wright's achievement, RICS president, Alan Collett, said, "I am extremely pleased that RICS has decided to honour Eric in this way.
"The award of HonRICS recognises his outstanding contribution to the property profession, particularly through the work of the Eric Wright Charitable Trust to promote the education and development of young people.
"We are also immensely grateful to Eric for his encouragement to senior members of his organisation to ‘put something back' into the property profession through active engagement with RICS."
In 1986 Eric Wright formed the Charitable Trust to assist causes that encourage the education and development of young people. Today The Eric Wright Trust priorities for giving are directed at disadvantaged minorities, especially underprivileged youth.
